Valerie is a native Californian, having grown up in Redondo Beach and the South Bay. She attended award-winning West High School and graduated six months early, eager to nurture her entrepreneurial spirit. She received her real estate license at the age of 20. It wasn’t too long before she realized that that career path was not her passion.
A short time later, she ran into an old high school friend who told her that her sister ran a court reporting agency and loved it. Having never heard of court reporting, Valerie’s curiosity got the best of her, and within a week she was enrolled in South Coast College of Court Reporting, located in Westminster, California. That was in 1989. She then spent two short years full-time in school and received her state license in 1991, when she began her journey to becoming the best court reporter she could be.
After a couple years working with a few different court reporting agencies, she decided it was time to start her own agency so that she could provide the highest quality products and services directly to clients the way she knew it should be. She has been proudly doing this with her own agency since 1993.
Almost three decades later, she continues to have the same intense passion and love for the work she does, and because of that, her clients benefit from an outstanding, personal service which is unparalleled in the industry. She is a hands-on business owner!
Because she knows this business requires it at times, she makes herself personally available to her clients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
In order to control unnecessary and frivolous costs to her clients, she does not engage in hidden “extras” or “add-ons,” a technique which is commonly practiced within the industry. She personally invoices each job ensuring that her clients receive the lowest cost possible.
Valerie has extensive experience in taking labor law depositions, as well as real estate, business, contract, and Workers’ Comp cases. Having taken many arbitrations, she is skilled and comfortable in that environment as well. She is able to support all types of litigation and has recently added remote reporting to her suite of services.
